did you get the email from DakStats saying that they've had issues with baseball/softball webcasts due to the NAIA D-I and D-II basketball tournaments???
I don't know ... of course, it didn't make sense that we're having problems websyncing because of the basketball tournament. seems like a lame excuse to me.
BTW, good luck on getting someone from DakStats to respond. I posted a question two-three weeks ago and have yet to get a response. We might be the only ones checking this website.
RavenSID, please give me us a call at 888-325-7828 when you get a chance. I'd like to possibly remote into your computer to take a look at why the Webcast isn't working.
I will try to address most of the comments from this discussion thread.
First, if you have technical difficulties that need immediate assistance or a quick turnaround please email those to dakstats@daktronics.com or call the DakStats Help Desk 888-325-7828.
This discussion board was designed to promote feedback and discussion. It was really never intended to be used for immediate assistance for technical issues.
Second, the server load we were experience shouldnt stop you from webcasting because you are simply dropping off a file. The extreme traffic did affect the web-sync because it is a multi-step process to exchange player information, competition information, and then exchanges statistical information. The traffic would cause delays in communication and would return a -10 error which can be caused by a few things but most commonly by time outs because the server was responding quickly enough.
Raven, please email or call our helpdesk. If you can webcast Basketball, its pretty much the same as webcasting Baseball. We should be able to get you up and running with your webcasts.
UnionKySID its always a delight to read your posts but dont feel that we are neglecting you by not responding. We often want to see how others weigh in and see what direction the discussion takes before we respond.
