Unable to load URL to complete this command

I'm getting the error message "Unable to load URL to complete this command" when I enter my code to websync in volleyball and soccer.

The URL in my window is http://www.dakstats.com/config/clienturl.txt.

I don't think it's possible to change that by accident so any thoughts as to why I'm not longer able to websync.

This is keeping me from updating my volleyball stats and I'm getting a failure to report email daily for a match in women's soccer that I'm not able to sync.

Any thoughts, suggestions!?!

Thanks.
Josh

Hi Josh -

First off, let's check your internet connection. Are you able to navigate the internet on this computer? Try going to Google; does that work? If not, we need to ensure your internet connection is hooked up and working properly.

If the internet is working properly, we need to check the Firewalls on the computer. Is your Windows Firewall turned on, and is DakStats blocked by this Firewall? Your IT department may also have other Firewalls on the computer that may be blocking the software from hitting the server. Please contact them to ask about this, and ensure DakStats is on the allowed list.

Finally, in rare instances, permissions issues get in the way of Web-Syncing. If the above things do not remedy the situation, please have your IT department log in as an Administrator and try to Web-Sync. If this goes through, the IT people can set the permissions appropriately.

If you have questions, please let us know. It may be best to contact dakstats@daktronics.com or call 888-325-7828.

Thanks!

Nancy

I was able to access the internet last night and my IT department knows less about my computer than I do.

I just tried to sync after I saw your response and it seems to be working now. Was there a chance that I caught the server at a bad time like when it was updating the database or something like that?

Thanks for your quick response.

Josh

We did not recieve any other notices of people having issues with Web-Syncing, so I don't believe it was the server.

Did anything change from when you were initially Web-Syncing to when it worked? Were you Web-Syncing from the same place? Also, do you use a wireless connection or a hardline connection?

Nancy
