Box Score Issue

Since we score our matches live, we used stat crew this weekend to input plays and converted to dakstats after the match. For some reason, our goal keeper's stats show up on our individual stat pages, but on the Box Score, it says no goal keeper stats were reported. Is it a conversion issue from TAS to Dakstats?

Box Score

Goal keeper individual stats
http://www.dakstats.com/WebSync/Pages/Team/IndividualStats.aspx?association=10&sg=MSO&sea=NAIMSO_2007&team=2653

Other than the box score issue, websync went really well and the conversion was smooth.

Steve,

We finding that in some cases, the goalie stats converted from Stat Crew are missing some information. It will take additional investigation to figure out where the problem is being introducted. It might be in the Stat Crew file conversion or introduced during the reproting process. However, we do know what we can do on the server end to handle the issue. Handeling the issue on the website means we do not have to rollout any software updates to each user.

It's going to take a few days to test and roll out this update. It appears that only some individuals that use Stat Crew are experiencing this. (If this is more widespread, please comment). More importantly, if the player has stats they are being reported correctly even though they don;t show on the box report. The individual stats which are important for POW and national reporting are correct.

When the site is updated, the issue will be resolved. No need to change anything on your end. You will also see all the period information for each game appear with the same update.

Thanks!

Perhaps knowing which version of Stat Crew people are using would be helpful in case there has been a change in the xml output by Stat Crew.

Also, while only one team shows up if the opponent is not synching I hope the box score pages will eventaully show for GK purposes the shots faced by a goalie. In looking at my first soccer game it shows my goalies saves but not how many shots he faced from the opponent.

Its always beneficial to know what version of the XML file.  Because there may have been slight modifications between the versions that effect how it will be imported.

For the soccer box score...we have a release planned for this week that will update the opponents stats....and another release planned for late next week that will update the By Period info at the bottom of the box score.

Sam_Dak: Thanks...will the update be available when web-syncing, or would it be good to just keep checking the Daktronics site?

While I've updated to version x.9, would it be good to look at XML files from past versions? I don't spend a lot of time under the XML hood, so I'm not sure if there's significant differences between the XML produced by different versions.

I am hoping to get our server team to update today or tomorrow. I can put a new post up when it has been updated...or you will also notice when those stats fill in.

As far as differences between XML versions...I think TAS keeps a list of the changes...but normally the changes do not effect the main statistics. I believe the last change they made to the XML file was under the tag which isn't the main statistics section.

One last thing to note is that the version found in the XML file is different than the current version of the software. So, they may update and have a new version of the software...but if they didn't modify the XML format its version will stay the same.

Hey Sam_Dak:
How about adding a read-only thread that you and or Jon can you to let us know when an update has been posted and is available?
That way, one doesn't have to shop around each thread to see when a update is posted and available.

Thanks, Mike
